The conducting indicator light (orange) functions as a crossed wire or an electric floor while visually indicating whether or not it is powered.

The non-conducting indicator light (turquoise) functions more like a trap door, being powered when power is passed to it but not further conducting power to other tiles.

Both of these are useful for testing dangerous traps involving electronics in order to work out bugs without incurring permadeath.
